Lynn Marine Supply is proud to be AmorLux's exclusive retail store in the greater Boston area. For the past 70 years, ArmorLux has represented the finest Breton nautical clothing for work and casual wear.
The Breton sweater called "chandail" in French traces its origin to Brittany more than 200 years ago. In the 1970's the navy woolen sweater was issued to sub-marine officers and quickly spread to surface officers and later on became the work uniform of seamen.
The Breton shirt was officially created by the 27th March 1858 Act which introduced the striped knitted shirt to the uniform list of the French seaman. Many decades later, the
|
shirt became widely popular and is now proudly worn by those who frequent the sea: fishermen, sailors, or yachtsmen. Click here to see who wears ArmorLux.
And, although the Breton waterproof jacket was initially designed for working on boats, it is worn by those who enjoy the outdoors whether at sea or on shore.
ArmorLux Sweaters, Shirts, and Jackets are sized using French sizing convention.
